Symbol of the world of cocktails and drinking culture, especially for drinks served "on the rocks", the Double Old Fashioned glass has deep roots in American culture and mixology. In fact, it takes its name from the Old Fashioned, one of the first recognized and codified cocktails in history, way back in 1806. Made with Whiskey, sugar, Angostura bitters and ice, this was originally served in the glass of the same name (smaller), but over time the Double version has become common: more space for ice and ingredients. Since then, the world of cocktails has evolved, but the Double Old Fashioned glass has remained a timeless classic, first a symbol of refinement and virility, now something central to pop culture, the ritual of the aperitif. Americano, Negroni, Negroni Sbagliato, Milano Torino, Gin Tonic, Mojito and various Spritz, but also much more.... Its large shape is perfect for adding large ice cubes, maintaining the ideal temperature and unaltered flavor, without watering down the drink too much!

With its roots in tradition, the Original Memento Double Old Fashioned glass fits perfectly in the most refined contexts and cocktails, but with its colors it adds a touch of liveliness and style to the cocktail moment! A perfect match with a Memento Originale Avio Double Old Fashioned glass? A Moscow Mule!

MOSCOW MULE:
• Vodka, ginger beer, lime juice, ice, lime wedge and mint leaves to garnish.
• While traditionally served in a copper mug, the Moscow Mule can be presented in a colored Double Old Fashioned glass for a more contemporary look.

But it is just one of the many cocktails that are best served in a colored glass: Caipirinha, Caipiroska, Old Fashioned, Sazerac, Negroni, Boulevardier, Vieux Carré, Rusty Nail, White Russian, Midori Sour, Purple Rain, Blue Hawaii, Aviation, Rum Punch... but also Rum, Whisky on the rocks... not to mention Virgin Mojito and the whole world of the most sophisticated non-alcoholic drinks, there is no limit to the imagination. All these cocktails are perfect to be served in a colorful and attractive Double Old Fashioned glass, where the reflections and the strength of the glass with the capacity of the glass enhance the sensory experience of the drink.

And Gin Tonic? For Churchill "It has saved more lives and minds than all the doctors in the Empire!"... a colored glass can only add an attractive visual element and enhance the entire tasting experience! How? Colors can influence the perception of flavor and mood.
The search for the most aromatic and particular Gin, with the perfect mix of botanicals, the right tonic water to enhance its aroma, the perfect garnish... pepper, cucumber, berries, citrus or cardamom... a true lover cannot afford to make a mistake in choosing the glass.

Make way for garnishes that enhance the color and colors that enhance the Gin! A blue glass, for example, can give a sense of freshness and sophistication. The contrast between the blue of the glass and the transparency of the Gin Tonic, with the bubbles reflecting the light, creates a refreshing visual effect, particularly suitable for a summer evening. Perfect for a classic Gin, with the blue that highlights the bright green of a slice of lime. A Green Glass evokes freshness. Cucumber and other garnishes are natural elements that visually harmonize with this glass. Offer a natural and sophisticated contrast: pink grapefruit and a sprig of rosemary. Red fruits or pomegranate can be used instead as a contrast, or garnish a red or orange glass, for a vibrant and eye-catching look, ideal for winter parties.

A colorful Double Old Fashioned glass can enhance the look of many cocktails, especially those with bright colors and layers of liquid. By choosing brightly colored cocktails, you can really maximize the visual effect of the glass.

"We can thus abandon ourselves, almost a little defenseless, and let ourselves be enveloped by the strength of color; have confirmation that, in our work, doing beautiful things and doing them well, even before being a business choice or a market strategy, is a personal necessity and a pleasure". Roberto Zani

A Memento Originale Double Old Fashioned glass is a way to enhance the very aesthetics of the drink, even the most iconic and appreciated.
