The titanium in contact with food contains no nickel — suitable for people sensitive or allergic to this metal, which is present in many kitchen steels.
Remarkably light
Titanium is far lighter than steel for the same strength: the pan lifts, turns and handles naturally, even in the larger sizes.
At its best at low temperatures
It performs best with gentle cooking and moderate heat: no need to turn the flame up high to get an even result.
Unaffected by acids

Copper — fast, controlled cooking
Copper exterior, steel interior in contact with food: heat transfer is immediate, ideal for risottos, reductions, braises, omelettes and fillet steak. Practical and hygienic, suitable for induction, with no costly upkeep. With use, the copper develops a warm amber patina — part of its character. Dishwasher safe.
Stainless steel — the all-rounder
Suited to any type of cooking, highly hygienic, and doesn't absorb odours or flavours. The Zani household tip: a little oil, but make sure the pan is properly hot before adding the ingredients. Dishwasher safe.
From Lumezzane, no shortcuts
5 Padel is made in Lumezzane, in Val Trompia — the historic steelworking district in the province of Brescia. Serafino Zani has been working with these materials for more than sixty years.

Yes. The ferritic steel base beneath the titanium and aluminium layers makes the pan compatible with induction hobs, as well as gas and oven.
How is it different from a non-stick pan?
Non-stick pans rely on a synthetic coating that scratches and wears down over time. Titanium has no coating: it's PFAS-free, PFOA-free and PTFE-free, and the surface you see today is the same one you'll be using years from now.
Which size should I choose?
The 24 cm is designed for single or double portions and quick dishes like eggs and omelettes. The 28 cm is the most versatile size, suited to everyday family cooking. The 32 cm is best for generous portions or larger tables.
