Descrizione

Classic style finger bowl, in 18/10 stainless steel. The formal balance, the essential dimensions, the practicality of use and the elegance of steel make this bowl an object capable of making the difference even in the most refined situations.
The history of the finger cup has very distant roots, as Anthelme Brillat-Savarin, a nineteenth-century scholar of etiquette, recalls in his book The Physiology of Taste. Modern etiquette dictates that the finger cup be used only and exclusively to delicately wet the fingertips or even just the fingertips.
The finger bowl is placed to the left of the plate. Donna Letizia recommends serving it on a fruit plate resting on a silver or crystal saucer or a delicate doily. A slice of lemon is usually placed inside the bowl to help degrease the fingers. You could use just water, or try adding suspended rose petals or violets, or water flavored with cucumber or bergamot. Erasmus of Rotterdam recommended water scented with rosemary or chamomile.
What is certain is that the use of the finger bowl should not be limited to formal occasions only, but is also appreciated during a pizza and especially after appetizers or the very popular finger foods, which often need to be taken with the hands.

Just as Serafino Zani cooking tools are born from a deep knowledge of the culture of cooking, so too the objects for serving at the table are designed with the consolidated rituals of eating and drinking together in the most diverse situations in mind. Serafino Zani, with the Seraphini lines, offers objects suitable for the laboriously prepared tables of special occasions, as well as for the simpler settings of everyday tables. Objects that combine practicality of use, beauty of lines, quality and finishing of materials; objects that reflect the company's philosophy, aimed at creating simple and authentic things, designed and built well, destined to last over time.
Bringing a baking dish straight from the oven to the table, serving a roast on a serving tray, pouring fine oil to season vegetables or dishes, always having the right sized container available for the most diverse foods... The Seraphini series offers objects that facilitate the gestures of daily serving, and at the same time embellish them, thanks to their refined and elegant design, and the use of mirror-polished steel. Steel that, in Seraphini, is combined with the alder wood of the cutting boards, the white porcelain of the baking dishes, the glass of the ampoules, the copper and titanium coating of the kettles and coffee makers, giving life to unique objects in which form and function find a perfect balance.
