With Al Dente, Konstantin Grcic's genius focuses on the world of cooking, designing this series of stainless steel pots, casseroles, and pans with a highly precise and striking design. The classic cylindrical shape of the pot takes on a new dimension, thanks to the slanted profile of the handles and their large size, designed to provide a secure grip and a strong graphic statement, and thanks to the design solution of the lid housed within the body of the pot, which thus closes securely. Perfect for all cooktops, including induction, gas, electric, and glass-ceramic. Al Dente embodies the hallmarks of Serafino Zani's production—the use of high-quality, thick materials, attention to detail and finishes, and the use of Zani's special encapsulated heat-diffusing base (US patent) on all cookware—reimagined through Grcic's lens. Serafino Zani still manufactures its cookware at its factory in Lumezzane, Brescia, using exclusively high-quality stainless steel (18/10). This material is the only one that guarantees maximum hygiene when in contact with food, near-eternal durability, and extreme ease of cleaning and maintenance.
Steel is used in all components and details, and is always applied in generous thicknesses to ensure optimal heat distribution and durability. All steel cookware features a special heat-diffusing base patented by Tarcisio Zani (USA patent 4204607), composed of a pure aluminum core encased in a double stainless steel base. This base allows for optimal heat distribution throughout the pan with minimal energy consumption, and allows the cookware to be used on gas, electric, glass-ceramic, and induction hobs.
All handles are designed to slow down heat transmission, paying attention to the materials, shapes, and surfaces in contact with the body of the pan.
The lid is housed in a recess that prevents it from jumping while cooking and from letting steam escape, wasting heat.
