Collection: Just For Flowers

Just for Flowers , from 2001, is the first NUMA collection entirely designed by Ettore Sottsass .

Just for flowers are six small single-flower vases, each produced in a limited series of 49 pieces, designed by Ettore Sottsass for Serafino Zani 's Metallia project. Six small pewter architectures: fragments of walls arranged to delimit hollow volumes, small undulating walls and slender cylinders that support each other with unstable balances, causing repeated plays of light and shadow.

Basic volumes, deliberately incomplete, which give this ancient material new chromatic accents, giving it back contemporaneity and emotion. So that contemporary pewter continues to tell new stories in everyday life.

The six vases in the collection were made in 49 copies for each piece, signed by the author and accompanied by a certificate certifying their authenticity. An important group of objects that immediately attracted the attention of the public of art collectors.

By enriching Serafino Zani 's previous collection, the Metallia Project, Just for flowers traced the line of research that Serafino Zani intended to follow, exploring the possibilities that arise from the meeting between designers and artisan knowledge, to produce new, ancient materials .
