Collection: Garisenda

“It was the year of our Lord 1110 when, in the rich and learned Bologna, Filippo and Oddo Garisendi began to build a tower, which would have overwhelmed all the others…”
Today Garisenda is no longer just a square, leaning tower, symbol of Bologna. It is also an object, a precious kitchen accessory, a pot that stands out from the others for its beauty and functionality. The complete series has been designed for every cooking need and for every type of food, and has particular characteristics: the heat-diffusing base for perfect and uniform heat distribution and mirror polishing. In addition, of course, to its unique and unmistakable line among a thousand.

Designer Tarcisio Zani created the Garisenda line by toying with the idea of something unusual and refined and, at the same time, extremely practical to use. Thus was born this form of geometric handle with parallel bars, decentralized on the lid.
Having achieved the first creative intent, that is, to equip the line of pots with handles so unusual as to characterize it, and beautiful to look at, we moved on to the functional aspects. Here then is the intuition of the parallel bars which, by reducing the lateral contact points with the actual handles to a minimum, thanks to their hemispherical endings, serve to isolate the grip of the hands from the heat, avoiding any possible burns. Furthermore, the lids can be conveniently hung for washing in the dishwasher.

The Garisenda pan is equipped with an ergonomic handle. Its fingers, in fact, are positioned so that the thumb can find an anatomically natural location, opposite to the index finger. For a heat-insulated, comfortable and safe grip.
