| Cinque Stelle has launched “la cucina sapiente e la tavola contenta”, a project by Serafino Zani through which Ettore Sottsass has put steel back at the centre of research on objects, with the main objective of “redesigning” the kitchen and the common table, of popular memory, with contemporary languages. The name itself, chosen by Ettore Sottsass himself, lets a good dose of irony shine through, which underlines an idea far from glamour, but aimed at the quiet normality of simple things, of great quality. Great thicknesses, wide profiles, consistency and weight, to offer a solid relationship with the object. Simple and almost archetypal forms, to be used calmly, to suggest pleasure in eating. |
